Tech Byte: Projection Booth

Turn on lights on right wall upon entering the room. Small switch and slider on wall control the red/dim lights in the booth. When projecting be sure to turn bright light off and use the slider to dim/brighten the red booth lights.

Main Power

Back rack, red switch upper right corner.

Side rack, red switch upper right corner.

All Other Devices

Sound Board On

Turn on at upper right corner by pushing power button. (Do not hold)

Screen under power button boots up.
Tap “Security” on screen.
Turn small dial to highlight: STAFF/jbha
Push dial down.
Type password on touchscreen: JBHA
Hit Apply button.

Playing sound

...from MAC - video, movie, etc…

Sound Board Video Fader in lower right corner of board.
Push InB Video Button to hear sound.
Make sure ON button above the sliders is on and green.
Use first 2 sliders on the lower left corner for video volume. (Yellow/Red orange tape above)

...from Microphone(s)

Sound Board Video Fader in lower right corner of board.
Push InA Fader Button to hear sound.
Use first 2 sliders on the lower left corner for video sound. (Yellow/Red orange tape above)
Make sure ON button above the sliders is on and green.
Microphone tape colors match slider that controls volume. Yellow microphone switch does not work, take batteries out to stop using.
May need to turn dial above slider if sound is not loud enough using the slider.

Sound Board Off

Press and hold the power button until the light on the button blinks orange.
Push power button again to turn off.

Light Board On

Turn on at upper right corner by pushing power button.

Make sure dial is on Ch 1-40.
The highlighted section of sliders brightens and dims the lights on the stage. Only use the highlighted sliders.

Light Board Off
On computer to the right of the board, scroll to Power off and hit enter.
The board will shut down.

House Lights

Overhead lights in auditorium space.
Three switches on wall with light switch for the room.

Projector

Turn on with the remote marked with yellow and red/orange tape.

Push button with Yellow tape = On
Look for small light inside the projector.
Bulb will come on in a few seconds.
Push button with Red/orange tape = Off

MAC

Wake MAC by moving mouse and/or pushing any key.
Pick Faculty Icon.
Type password:
Navigate to video, presentation, etc…
Play or project.
Make sure HDMI 2 button is pushed in and red on rack to the left of the MAC to project.

When leaving projection booth, remember to power off the following devices…

Light board
Sound board
Projector
Microphones
Red rack power switches (2)
House lights
Booth lights
